Bathroom Adaptations Ltd replaces awkward, unsafe bathrooms with walk-in showers, level-access showers and wet rooms — for older and reduced-mobility customers across Hamilton, Lanarkshire and Central Scotland.

Each page explains the problem it solves, exactly what we fit and how the job runs. Every one starts with a free home survey.

Replacing a high-sided bath with a low-entry shower without the room turning clinical. Reinforced grab rails, slip-resistant trays and fittings chosen so it looks like a bathroom you'd want, not a hospital fitting.

A fully waterproofed, level-access space — generous, easy to maintain, and designed around how the person using it actually moves. Built around your home rather than the other way around.
761 photographs from bathrooms we have installed — walk-in showers, wet rooms and accessible adaptations.

We visit, listen, measure and answer every question. No hard sell, no obligation.
A clear price, itemised so you know exactly what you are paying for. You decide in your own time.
Floors covered, dust managed, everything cleaned before we leave. The schedule for your job is confirmed in the written quotation.
Plenty of bathroom fitters will screw a grab rail to a wall if you ask. We design the whole room around how the person using it actually moves — where they need to hold on, where they need to sit, how a carer gets alongside them, and whether it will still work in five years.
Mobility and accessible bathrooms are our core specialism — bath removals, level-access showers, wet rooms, grab rails, seats and anti-slip flooring.
Over 10 years' bathroom installation experience behind the team. Bathroom Adaptations Ltd was incorporated in 2025 to put that experience under one specialist roof.
Consultation, design, then strip-out, plumbing, electrics, tiling and making good — we manage the project and coordinate the trades. Full refurbishments too, not just the adaptation.
We are based in Hamilton, so Lanarkshire — Motherwell, Wishaw, East Kilbride, Blantyre, Bothwell, Airdrie and Coatbridge — is our core patch, and we work outwards across Glasgow and the wider central belt. If you're nearby and unsure, give us a call.

Bathroom Adaptations Ltd. We are a specialist accessible-bathroom installer based in Hamilton, covering Lanarkshire — Motherwell, Wishaw, East Kilbride, Blantyre, Bothwell, Airdrie and Coatbridge — plus Glasgow and the wider Central Scotland belt. Mobility and accessible bathrooms are our core work rather than a sideline of general bathroom fitting.
Yes — bath-to-shower conversions are the job we do most often. We remove the bath, fit a low-level or level-access shower, add grab rails and a fold-down seat where they are actually needed, and lay slip-resistant flooring. The schedule for your job is confirmed in the written quotation.
Yes. You can arrange and pay for the work with us directly rather than going through a council-funded adaptation process — council routes vary by council and by whether you own or rent, and an assessment of need is generally involved. Arranging it privately means you choose the specification, and dates are agreed with you and confirmed in the written quotation. If you do have an OT recommendation, we can quote against it instead.
Level-access and low-threshold showers, wet rooms, grab rails fixed into reinforced backing, fold-down shower seats, thermostatic anti-scald controls, slip-resistant safety flooring, comfort-height WCs, easy-reach basins and lever taps. We specify around the person using the room.
It depends on the existing bathroom and the specification — a bath-to-shower conversion is quicker than a full wet room or accessible refurbishment. The schedule for your job is confirmed in the written quotation before work starts.
No. Floors and routes are covered, dust is contained, and the bathroom is left fully cleaned. We tidy at the end of every day, not just the end of the job, and we remove all waste.
Yes. We manage the project and coordinate the trades it needs — plumbing, electrics, tiling and making good — so you have one point of contact and one invoice.
Yes — our installations carry a workmanship guarantee, and the fittings we supply carry their manufacturers' own warranties. The exact terms are set out in your written quotation.
