Bathroom Adaptations Ltd is a specialist accessible-bathroom installer based in Hamilton, working across Lanarkshire and Central Scotland. We fit bath-to-shower conversions, walk-in and low-level showers, level-access showers, accessible wet rooms and full disabled bathroom adaptations. We manage each project end to end — survey, design, and the plumbing, tiling, electrical and finishing trades the job needs — so you deal with one company throughout.

The company, and the experience behind it

Bathroom Adaptations Ltd was incorporated in 2025. The limited company is new; the people are not. The team behind it brings over 10 years' bathroom installation experience, and the business was set up specifically to concentrate that experience on accessible and mobility bathrooms rather than general bathroom fitting.

In practice that means a private consultation in your own home, a design tailored to the person who will use the room, and one company project-managing the whole job — from a single bath-to-shower conversion through to a complete bathroom refurbishment where the adaptation is only part of the brief.

What we do (and don't)

We focus on one thing: bathroom adaptations for older and disabled customers. We are not a general bathroom fitter who occasionally does a grab rail. Almost all of our work is adaptation work, which is why we can quote accurately and spot the OT-specification details a general fitter can miss.

Council and OT-led work

We work alongside council Schemes of Assistance and occupational therapists across Falkirk, Stirling, Clackmannanshire, West Lothian, Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow, North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire. Where a council or OT is involved, we itemise quotes in the format they ask for and match them to the OT's specification, ready for submission. Eligibility and any funding decision rest with the council, not with us.

How we specify our installations

• Anti-slip shower trays, specified R10 or better
• Thermostatic anti-scald mixer valves as standard
• Toughened safety glass screens and enclosures
• Grab rails fixed to studs or noggins, never plasterboard
• Continuous tanking membrane on wet rooms and level-access installs
• Manufacturer warranties on the products we supply, as stated in your quote
• VAT eligibility checked at quotation stage, and any HMRC declaration handled
