Can you fit just a grab rail, or do I need a full bathroom job?▾
Just a rail is fine. Small safety works are quoted as their own job after the survey. If we think you would be better served by a handyman or by a council-supplied fitting, we will say so.
Can grab rails be fitted onto tiles?▾
Through tiles, yes — into whatever is behind them, which is the important bit. The rail must reach a stud, a noggin or purpose-installed backing, and the fixing must be sealed so water cannot track behind the tile.
