Bathroom Installation & Refurbishment in Dunfermline

Home survey · Written quotation, no obligation

Alongside our adaptation work we design and fit complete bathrooms. Accessible and mobility bathrooms remain our specialism — but the same survey, the same written quotation and the same standard of finish apply to a straightforward family bathroom, an en-suite refit or a full strip-out and re-plan. One team coordinates the plumbing, electrics, tiling, panels and flooring, so you deal with one company from first visit to handover.

Accessible adaptations are our specialism, and we also fit complete bathroom refurbishments for homeowners with or without mobility needs — from our Hamilton base across West Fife and Lanarkshire.

Why Dunfermline households choose this

Dunfermline and surrounding West Fife towns are within our service area. If you have an assessment or proposed adaptation specification, share it when arranging the survey. This helps clarify the required access, rail positions and seating before the room's floor, walls and drainage are checked and the quotation scope is agreed. Fife Council is the relevant council for Dunfermline; its existing funding guide is linked below.

West Fife is within our service area.

Funding through Fife Council

For qualifying mandatory adaptation grants in Scottish private-sector housing, the statutory minimum is 80% of the council-approved eligible expense, or 100% where the prescribed benefit conditions apply. This is not 80% or 100% of every bathroom quotation: the council must assess need, eligibility, eligible work and approved expense. General refurbishment, chosen upgrades and excluded work are not automatically covered. Council and housing-association tenants use their landlord's adaptation route rather than assume this private-sector grant calculation applies.

  1. 1. A team focused on accessible bathrooms

What the survey in Dunfermline checks

  • How you or the person using the room gets in and out, and whether a seat or rails are needed
  • The size and shape of the room, and where the door, WC and basin sit
  • The floor build-up and drainage route, which affect the achievable entry height
  • Wall construction at the intended rail or screen fixing positions

Related guides: cost factors and itemised quotations, occupational therapy and council assessment and Scottish adaptation grants. The council decides eligibility and any funding; a practical survey does not approve funding.

Frequently asked questions — Dunfermline

How much does bathroom installation & refurbishment cost in Dunfermline?▾

The cost depends on your existing bathroom, the tray or layout chosen and any tiling work. Your written quotation after the home survey sets out the agreed scope and price. Check exclusions and how any changes will be agreed before work starts.

Do you cover Dunfermline?▾

West Fife is within our service area. Call 0800 048 5566 to arrange a home survey at a time that suits you.

Do you only work for elderly or reduced-mobility customers?▾

No. Accessible bathrooms are our specialism, but we also fit complete bathroom refurbishments for homeowners with or without mobility needs.

Can Fife Council fund my installation?▾

Possibly. Fife help with adaptations through the Scheme of Assistance, and support normally follows an assessment of need — usually by an occupational therapist. Eligibility, the level of any grant and the process vary by council and by whether you own or rent, so check the position with them. Where a grant is involved we provide quotes in the format the council asks for, and you can also arrange the work with us privately instead.

Do you only fit accessible bathrooms?▾

No. Accessible and mobility bathrooms are our specialism, but we design and fit complete bathrooms of all kinds — family bathrooms, en-suites and full refurbishments — with the same survey, written quotation and finish.

Do you handle the plumbing, electrics and tiling?▾

Yes. We coordinate every trade the job needs — plumbing, electrics, tiling or panels, flooring and making good — so you deal with one company rather than managing several contractors yourself.
